For many of you, it’s just a typical Tuesday of a typical week.  For bakers, however, it’s the beginning of the landslide that starts with Thanksgiving and ends with champagne and a nap on the sofa on New Year’s Eve.  It’s a rush that I simultaneously dread and look forward to each year.  The good news is that every year, our production seems to go a bit smoother thanks to the help of a few type-A employees.  There is very little ‘flying by the seat of our pants’ these days.  Our battle plan is ready, our ingredients ordered, our packaging ready, our delivery schedule just about finalized.  Being so organized is great, because it leaves me a lot of time to be thankful.

I am thankful for pretty magnets.

I am thankful for coffee.

and Coke Zero too…

And, just in case the plan goes to hell…Lady Dammit is ready & waiting for action.
