Once upon a time, there was a baker. The baker LOVED biscotti. The baker LOVED biscotti so much, she made three flavors: Chocolate, Cranberry Orange and Anise Almond.
She nibbled on the chocolate biscotti, and licked her fingers.
She face planted the cranberry orange biscotti, and went back for more.
She picked up the anise almond biscotti, and crinkled her nose. I like almond, thought the baker, but I’m not sold on the anise.
The baker returned to her kitchen and got to work. Out with the anise, in with almond extract, and a generous plunk in melted chocolate.
The baker nibbled. The baker robustly noshed. The baker even shared.
Finally, the baker emerged from her kitchen, exhausted, a little dirty, and very full, vowing never to make biscotti again.
And then, she saw a lemon.
