I’m not entirely sure what we were thinking when we decided to go for pooch #3. I mean, I ‘know’ what we were thinking – who can resist a puppy, let alone an adorable yellow lab chubby ball of fur with absurdly large paws, rolls of extra skin and itty bitty teeth? Emmy started the quest for the puppy, and I backed her up 500%. I convinced Eddie that it would be ‘easy’ and a great addition to our family, found the breeder, bought the necessary puppy paraphernalia, and the rest is history.
Here’s what else is history:
Nothing is safe in our house. Cookbooks, legs to our kitchen table, bed skirts, wrapping paper & ribbons, socks, slippers, down comforters – the destruction is impressive and complete.
Don’t get me wrong: I am not complaining. I am simply in awe of how much life has changed since we brought home that cute little puppy last June.
The corgis concur.
I have to go – the four-legged beast has been too quiet for too long.
