No words can summarize the weight of the day,
This moment in time, suspended without movement.
Life feels muted, hushed, distant.
The space where once he stood, now bathed in light.
He was a best friend, a rock, a leader, a cheerleader, a hero.
A man and his four ladies, memories everlasting.
A grandfather and his grandchildren, outstretched arms beckoning love.
A robust life taken far too soon.
The road ahead appears long, uphill, rocky, dark.
Your body feels weary.
The air feels cold.
But, do not fear.
The path is lined with your family & friends, marking your way.
You will never be alone.
An angel is watching over you now, my friend.
